Tonight there was a Tzedakah Function at Agudath Israel Bais Binyomin, 2913 Avenue L, Brooklyn NY, for the benefit of poor Kallahs.
Henna White the Honoree, came riding in a Metropolitan Ambulette, unofficially owned by Steve Zackheim (officially owned by his wife, Faygee Zackheim, who ironically is the chair-person of The Brooklyn Task-force of Domestic violence). Mr Zackheim paid back millions of dollars to Medicaid and was barred from owning any health related company in the State of New York.
A group of battered and abused women, protested against Henna, one of them that her children were taken from her and given to her ex-husband because Asher White, Henna's husband was his off-the-record lawyer, were attacked by some frum bullies, one of them the aforementioned Steve Zackheim who was accused of sexually harassing his female workers (see Village Voice Article). These women were nebach attacked and grabbed in a very immodest way, these guys ripped some of the placards and tried to grab the cameras. It seem that they are not shomer negiah (which molester or abuser is?).
It is a shame that frum yidden attacked the women, and the Mexican parking attendants and Russian Car Service drivers, were the ones to save them.
