They Close Their Eyes And Say It Never Happened
VosIzNeias found it convenient to selectively report the news about the little girl in Toronto who was abducted and sexually assaulted.
I reported this story last night, but saw it only on VIN this morning, so I figured maybe there are new developments, or that maybe they had an early version of the story, so I searched for old and new postings, and found newer versions of the same outlets, but the report about sexual assault was not changed. I am also posting an article from The Globe And Mail of this morning, and it still says that she was sexually assaulted, but according to the heimishe reporters’ wishful thinking it never happened.

Residents of a north Toronto neighbourhood are on edge after police say a man broke into a house, abducted a four-year-old girl and sexually assaulted her.
The girl was found by her family shortly after she went missing in the early-morning and taken to hospital.
“Family members located her within minutes … and saw a man fleeing the scene,” police said in a statement on Monday.
Toronto police are now searching for a suspect, who is believed to have entered the house between 3 and 3:30 a.m.
Neighbours said crimes of this nature are rare in the community, near Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue. It’s a tree-lined, family-friendly neighbourhood where kids go outside to play in the evenings.
A few houses on Charleswood Drive were cordoned off with police tape, while investigators canvassed door-to-door for information.
Anthony D’Amico, a parent of three young children, said he was “absolutely alarmed” to hear the news.
“I’ve heard there have been some robberies in the neighbourhood, but never anything like an abduction,” said Mr. D’Amico, who lives on Charleswood Drive. “This makes me worried about my own kids.”
Another neighbour, who identified herself as Alice, said she will be more cautious.
“It makes you want to keep a closer eye on your kids and warn all your neighbours,” she said.
Police are looking for a white male, 19 to 20 years old, with an average build and between 5-feet-6 inches and 5-feet-10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket or sweatshirt with a red stripe. He was possibly wearing a toque, a hat or a hoodie.
Police declined to divulge any further details.
Another resident, who wished to remain anonymous, described the street as peaceful and wanted answers. “It’s difficult to know what to make of this until we know all the facts,” he said.
Although police were alerted by the parents as soon as the child was discovered missing, they did not confirm whether the girl had been abducted or sexually assaulted until the evening. At one point, police were considering all possibilities, including whether the girl had simply walked out of the house on her own.
